The journey begins between two islands, one where I was born and raised, the other where I now reside. These two islands stand on opposite sides of colonial history: one a former colony, and the other a former colonial empire itself. Yet I find myself learning about decolonisation while living within the latter.
This tablescaping piece features a jelly island, mirroring the essence of decolonisation, transparency.
It is a statement, a manifesto.
On this jelly island, the wild lilies bloom.
